Itinerary
Day 1
Train from Gandhinagar to Chandigarh
Overnight train journey. Tickets included.
The group boards at Gandhinagar for the overnight run to Chandigarh. Train tickets are part of the package in the class you select at booking.
Day 2
Arrive Chandigarh, on to Shimla
Mall Road, Christ Church, the Ridge, Scandal Point and Jakhoo Temple.
Day 3
Kufri, Green Valley and Snow Point
A full day out from Shimla, returning for the night.
Day 4
Shimla to Kasol and Manikaran
Early checkout for the Parvati valley, overnight in Kullu.
Day 5
On to Manali, with free river rafting
Rafting on the way, then the Manali temple circuit.
Day 6
Snow Point excursion
Solang, Sissu, Kokhsar or Rohtang - whichever the weather allows.
Day 7
Manali to Dalhousie
A long scenic drive through the Himalayan routes - roughly 350 km.
Day 8
Khajjiar, the mini Switzerland
Khajjiar meadows and lake, then back to Dalhousie.
Day 9
Dalhousie to Amritsar and the Wagah border
Afternoon at the India-Pakistan flag lowering ceremony.
Day 10
Golden Temple, then the train home
Golden Temple and Jallianwala Bagh before boarding at Chandigarh.
