Transfers use a Non-AC tempo traveller — air conditioning is not effective on hill roads. Snow Point excursions in Manali, and the Atal Tunnel, are subject to permission and weather; where the tempo cannot continue, a local 4x4 is available at your own cost. Day 1
Train from Gandhinagar to Chandigarh
Board at Gandhinagar for the overnight journey north.

Chandigarh to Shimla, and Shimla local sightseeing
Arrive Chandigarh, drive up to Shimla, then the Mall Road circuit.
Day 3
Kufri, Green Valley and Snow Point
A full day out from Shimla, returning for the night.
Day 4
Shimla to Kasol and Manikaran
Early checkout for the Parvati valley, overnight in Kullu.
Day 5
On to Manali, with free river rafting
Rafting on the way, then the Manali temple circuit.
Day 6
Snow Point excursion
Solang, Sissu, Kokhsar or Rohtang — whichever the weather allows.
Day 7
Manali to Chandigarh, and the train home
Checkout after breakfast for the overnight return journey.
Day 8
Arrive Gandhinagar
Reach Gandhinagar and board onward for your city.

- Does the train leave from Ahmedabad?
- The group travels by train from Gandhinagar, about 25 km from Ahmedabad, and returns there at the end. Travellers from Ahmedabad make their own way to Gandhinagar. If boarding somewhere else would suit you better, ask when you enquire.

- Will we see snow on the Shimla Manali tour?
- The snow day goes to one of Solang Valley, Sissu, Kokhsar or Rohtang Pass, decided by permits and weather on the day, and Kufri near Shimla is on the itinerary too. The group vehicle goes as far as it can; any 4x4 beyond that point is at your own cost. Snow is most reliable from December to March.
